Dear friends,

I am Jasper Jalal — pastor, evangelist, and lifelong student of the Scriptures — and I am glad you are here.

Currently, I serve as Administrative Pastor at Trinity International Christian Church in Philadelphia, PA. Across each of those seasons, one thread has held: a longing to see ordinary saints walk faithfully with Christ until the day we see Him face to face.

Jasper’s Pen is the overflow of that longing — a quiet space where I put pen to page from the pastor’s study, for the pilgrim Church.

Why “Jasper’s Pen”?

I write because the Scriptures have warmed my soul and I want to share that warmth. Jasper’s Pen is for thoughtful, Bible-loving Christians — pastors, lay leaders, missionaries, seminarians, and ordinary saints — who want substantive, Scripture-saturated writing rooted in historic Protestant orthodoxy.

I write from a Reformed-leaning, evangelical conviction, with a pastor’s ear and a cross-cultural eye. Living among the South Asian diaspora Christians across 3 continents for over 6 decades have taught me to see the gospel as a global treasure — carried by ordinary saints, often at great cost — and that conviction will season much of what you read here.

What You Can Expect

Periodically, I will write a short pastoral reflection, when time permit some longer essays. All of it will move within six pillars — the themes that organize my study and my prayers:

• Discipleship — the slow, beautiful work of forming Christ-followers one life at a time.

• Hospitality — opening homes, tables, and hearts as a witness to the gospel.

• Doctrine — grounding faith in the timeless truths of Scripture.

• Missions — God’s heart for the nations and our role in His global story.

• The Persecuted Church — standing in prayer and solidarity with believers who suffer for His name.

• Evangelism — practical reflections on preparing individuals to walk with Christ.
